(9 December) TV3's all-new entertainment series celebrates New Zealand's love affair with home baking. The series features eight top amateur home bakers from across New Zealand competing each to test their baking skills.

From cupcakes, pies and pavlovas, to baking and decorating the perfect cake, each episode holds a fresh and delicious challenge for the contestants testing their versatility and inventiveness baking against the clock.

Avid bakers, our contestants were chosen from hundreds of applications from across the country. Each brings their own signature baking dish to the show, as well as their unique style of baking and personality! And all are determined to bake their hearts out to win a $20,000 prize package and the title of New Zealand's Hottest Home Baker.

They may be the best in their kitchen at home, but are they the best in New Zealand?

Judging and mentoring the contestants through their challenges are Dean Brettschneider, international global baker and patissier, and Pauline Nunns, world-class pastry chef and chocolatier.

Our eight contestants will be breaking out their beaters and dusting off their icing sugar in the lead up to their debut on New Zealand's Hottest Home Baker. Across eight episodes, the contestants face baking challenges with one contestant facing elimination in each episode. They must prove themselves in every challenge in order to stay in the competition and secure a place in the final bakeoff for the title of New Zealand's Hottest Home Baker.
